U11 District League at Fleetville 16th October 2025

Today I ran at Fleetville School, and I was really excited before the race started. I wanted to get a good start because I knew it would make a big difference. When the whistle went, I pushed off as fast as I could and got into my stride quickly.

In the first 100 metres, I managed to take a brilliant lead. I felt strong and confident, and I could hear people cheering from the sides which made me want to go even faster. I kept focusing on my running and tried to stay smooth and steady all the way.

As the race went on, I kept my pace and didn’t let anyone catch up. I felt good and made sure to keep pushing, especially on the straights. When I looked behind near the end, I realised I had a big gap — about 20 seconds ahead

Crossing the finish line first felt amazing. I was really happy with my time and proud of how well I ran. My school team also did pretty well overall, and it was great to see everyone trying their best.

If I could improve one thing, it would be my finish. I think I could have sprinted harder at the end to make my time even better. Still, I was super happy with how the race went and can’t wait for the next one!
